Wecome to MPHA ....

Some of the physically handicapped persons (phps) who attended at the first leadership training seminar held at Kandawgyi Palace Hotel during (20-22), February 2002 at Yangon and all the phps who paid homage to their retired medical supretendents, physicians, doctors, matrons, nurses, physiotherapists from National Rehabilitation Hospital and foreman from the hospital factory of producing artificial legs, hands, crutches, crutch-tips and braces in Mayangon township, Yangon on 28th April 2004 established the Myanmar Physically Handicapped Association (MPHA) at Judson Hall of Myanmar Christian Cathedral, Pyay road, Yangon on the date of 10th July, 2004. There are 108 members at first.

Organization ...

M.P.H.A Association is organized with five Honor Chairpersons, two Chairpersons, seventeen Executive Committee members, with Chairman U Myat Oo, U Aye Ko Ko as General secretary.

Activities of MPHA ....

Future Plans of MPHA . . .

I.	To open branch offices in States and Divisions.
II.	To give trainings on DAT, OET, IL & CBT.
III.	To provide financial aids to members with occupational skills.
IV.	To assist job-hunting for disabled members at the Ministry of Social Welfare, at the Ministry of Health, at Companies, Workshop and Factories.
V.	To distribute pamphlets on disabled-education both physically and mentally.

Our Objectives . . .

I.	To create an environment, infrastructure, public commodity and services that can be used by the handicapped.
II.	To have the right to compulsory primary education with free of charge.
III.	To have easy access to vocational training.
IV.	To have access to suitable employment in private and government enterprises.
